Antique Sapphire & Diamond Carved Head Ring

An antique sapphire and diamond carved head ring. Featuring three old cut diamonds and two oval cut sapphires, all claw set in yellow gold, alternating along the band of the ring. The stones sit on a carved head, with decorated scroll-work, and lead to engraved shoulders. The shoulders lead to a polished yellow gold band.
An original antique ring, in the classic Victorian carved head design. The design was extremely popular, from the 1870s onwards, and can be found with a range of coloured gems and diamonds. The design adds decoration to the gallery (the side view of the ring) adding a completeness to the ring. This ring features bright blue sapphires accenting the sparkle of old cut diamonds. A one of a kind, vintage ring.
