Antique Sapphire & Diamond Twist Ring

A sapphire and diamond toi et moi ring. Featuring an old cut diamond and a round cut sapphire. Each stone is claw set, the diamond in white gold and the sapphire in yellow. The stones lead to twisted shoulders and a polished gold band.
This antique ring is wonderfully made and delicate. Crossover rings like this are often known as ‘Toi et Moi’ rings, translating to ‘you and me’. The most famous of which was the engagement ring of Empress Josephine, given to her by Napoleon. That ring was also a sapphire and diamond set in a twist, much like this ring here.
