Vintage Diamond & Emerald Ring, 1.50cts

An emerald and diamond three stone ring. Featuring a central old mine cut diamond, set between two pear shaped emeralds. The emeralds taper outwards, flattering the finger. The stones are all claw set on a polished yellow gold band.
This unusual ring is a vintage piece, but the central diamond is much older. Old mine cut diamonds are the precursor to both the modern cushion and round brilliant cuts, and date to the 19th century. These diamonds were cut by hand, producing a very different sparkle to modern cut diamonds from today. The diamond is wonderfully complemented by the emerald shoulders and solid gold band. This one of a kind ring is perfect for an unusual engagement ring, or as a cocktail piece.
