Opera Length, Three Row Pearl Necklace

A long, triple row pearl necklace. Featuring three strands, slightly graduated in length, each made up of multiple round, white pearls. The pearls are each individually knotted on white silk, and the necklace is finished with a hammered yellow gold clasp.

The term Opera Length refers to just that - the length of pearls one would wear to the opera in evening dress. Dating back to the late Victorian age, when owning a long strand of pearls was a statement of wealth, and the pearls would have adorned layers of high necked clothing. Today, opera length pearls offer versatility. They can be doubled up, knotted, or worn long, and these pearls have a wonderful lustre.
